The Client:
The CIMA Global Business Challenge is an annual business management competition open to full time undergraduates of public and private colleges and universities. Participants come from 22 countries and regions around the world. We were asked to create an online Yearbook app so participants from around the world could get to know each other on Facebook.

The App:
The Yearbook app allows people to share why they are participating in or supporting the GBC and learn more about each other. After filling in a brief form, visitors can browse a gallery of profile pictures and read about others’ experience with the GBC. Users can be filtered by country as well as through a tag cloud of popular words used in participants’ personal statements. Facebook comments have also been enabled within the app to allow conversations to take place between participants.

The Outcome:
The app has helped create an online community among participants who may otherwise never have met because they live in different countries. Our Facebook developers continue to work with the GBC on its social media campaign.
