The Client:
Soda Pictures is a UK film studio that has established itself within the independent film and world cinema industries. In addition to theatrical success, Soda Pictures is known for its work with upcoming directors, as well as established talent.

The Competition:
The Soda Pictures Facebook competition app was developed to promote the launch of the film Powder, which follows the story of a young man who wants to be a rock star. Soda Pictures wanted a competition that would generate excitement about the film while connecting fans with the main character in the movie.
Since Powder was filmed on location at the V-festival, the app included a competition for visitors attending this year’s festival. People were invited to upload photos that they took during the event, which they could then share with their friends on Facebook. While people had to attend the festival to enter the competition, anyone could vote for their favourite photo, using the built-in voting mechanism. The app also included information about the movie and a video trailer.

The Outcome:
This app successfully promoted Powder while giving audiences the opportunity to share their experience at the festival.
